Simple is often best! A Green Spinach & Pineapple Smoothie is one of my favourites!

Spinach is a great base for any smoothie and goes into most of mine. The anti-oxidant rich pineapple is fresh, tangy and sweet at the same time.  Chia seeds are little power houses enriched with vital omega-3 fatty acids, so don’t be fooled by their tiny appearance.

Often smoothie recipes feature so many ingredients, as to pack it all in, but believe me, this smoothie is really tasty and with 3 ingredients only it’s perfect for those busy days! Simple is often best!

Green Spinach and Pineapple Smoothie

Ingredients: for 1 large smoothie

2 handfuls of spinach

1 handful of pineapple

1 desert spoon of chia seeds

Option #1: Add a thumb size of peeled ginger and a bit of fresh lemon juice to give to this smoothie an extra kick!

Option #2: Add half a banana if you fancy your smoothie a little sweeter (especially off your pineapple is on the tangy side) and to make your smoothie even more creamy!


Put all the ingredients into your blender, fill up with water and blend & enjoy!
